| If you have an
allroad with Tiptronic I'm pretty certain there have been times where
you want to override the transmissions gear selection - It happens to me
daily. This modification is totally reversible and adds the convenience of using the gear shift buttons on the multifunction steering wheel at anytime - weather the main gear selector is in "Tip" mode or not. With this recode you will be able to access the manual shift mode in "D" or "S". For example if you are driving along in "D" and decide you want to downshift simply press the steering wheel shift button in the "-" (minus) direction. The transmission will downshift and the Manual Tiptronic mode will remain active for approximately 30 seconds and then resume the last full auto mode ("D" in my example). If you make another shift before the 30 second time out the clock resets for 30 seconds. Great if you get into a hilly section of road and you need to manual shift for a short duration. Things you will need for this mod:
Now take your allroad out for a spin and play with this new feature. If you don't like it simply follow the procedure again and input your original coding. Remember you are making these modifications at your own risk. The author or this website disavows any knowledge of your actions... this HTML will self-destruct in 5 seconds. Good Luck Jim. |
